Notes	Content derived from inventory prepared by Dana EchoHawk.; From inventory: "Born in 1946, Richard Thomas Castro was elected in 1974 as a Colorado state representative. He was 25 years old. He was an instructor in the Chicano Studies Department at Metro State College, Denver. At the time of his death, Castro was director of Denver's Agency for Human Rights and Community Relations. In the 1970s he served as Chairperson of the West Side Coalition to protect and preserve the West Side neighborhood in Denver. There are several buildings in Denver named in honor of Castro including the Rich Castro Elementary School and the Richard T. Castro office Building.
