View of the fountain titled "The State of Colorado Fountain" (sculpted in 1917 by Lorado Taft), also known as the Joseph Addison Thatcher Memorial Fountain, on the north end of City Park Esplanade in City Park, Denver, Colorado. Shows a bronze statue of a woman, garbed in robes, stands on a granite base. The figure is holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. An inscription inscribed on the base reads: "The Gift of Joseph Addison Thatcher to the City of Denver 1918." A group of bronze figures on the base include a man and a woman, a cherub or putto is beside the couple. Crab apple trees bloom in the distance.
