View of 1623 and 1627 (Elite Liquors) Larimer Street in the Union Station neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The Gold Nugget Grill is at 1623 Larimer Street, (constructed in 1880), the building is a four-story Italianate-style commercial structure with a single storefront. A neon vertical sign on the storefront reads: "Tap Room." There are four segmentally-arched windows with hooded crowns on the second and third floors, and four widows with U-shaped hooded crowns on the fourth floor. The bracketed elaborate cornice has a centered pediment. A vertical neon sign on the front of the building reads: "Gold Nugget, Known the World Over." Elite Liquors is at 1627 Larimer Street, the building is a two-story brick commercial structure (constructed c. 1880) with a parapet, an ornate partial cornice, and elaborate finials. The building is painted white. Denver Urban Renewal demolished both buildings in 1972.
