Summary
View of the entrance arch to the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center located at 122 Hospital Road, Brush, Colo. The facility was originally built as a tuberculosis sanitarium in 1903 by Pastor Jens Madsen and Sister Anna Poulsen, but now serves as a care facility for senior citizens. The entrance arch is constructed of red brick with three arched entries. Two for pedestrians and the center was for vehicles. Above the arches on the facade is the Hebrew word "MIZPAH." The word is often used to describe an emotional bond between people who are separated. Designed by the Baerresen Brothers in 1918, the arch is listed on the National Register.
