View of the Anne Evans Mountain House located on Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen, Colo. Built in 1910 by Jock Spence, the Rustic Style residence was further expanded by noted Denver architect, Burnham Hoyt in 1924. The front facade has a simple pediment supported visually by a series of vertical logs. A sculptured, stylized screen showing birds in flight is inset in the pediment and provides light and ventilation to the recessed front entranceway. Once the summer house of Anne Evans, daughter of Governor John Evans, it is now a private residence. The structure is listed on the National Register.
