View of the track and two cars on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway near the summit of Pikes Peak. The original rails were laid in 1889 and have since been upgraded. New switches were added in the 1980s to adjust for larger Swiss made rail cars. The red rail cars can hold over 200 passengers and every season depart from the Manitou Springs train depot every 80 minutes.
