View of the Aroya Light House in Aroya, Colorado. Shows a wooden building, probably an old gas station, with a large overhanging roof. The building is one level, and the paint is faded and pealing off the wood siding. The overhanging roof is supported by a single column. A light house constructed of junk metal and old farm implements welded together by sculptor Owen Moreland is near the wood building. The lighthouse does not have a light, instead it has a silver cupola open to the elements. Moreland's work was located in front of his house until it was moved to the Kit Carson Museum in 2004, the same year that Owen Moreland died.
