View of the front and side elevation of the office of attorney Walter L. Gerash at 1439 Court Place in the Central Business District neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. This former residence, known as the Curry- Chucovich House was designed by Frederic A. Hale and is the oldest known remaining single family residence in the downtown Denver area. (Also known as the James Curry House and the Vasco Chucovich House). The rusticated sandstone, rhyolite and brick, two-story, late Victorian building (1888) has pilasters, keystones, a wood cornice, frieze, and lintels. The slate roof has a balustrade and finials.
