High School Junior Wins 'Name' Contest
By the time you read this far
you have noticed that we finally
selected a name for our neighborhood publication.
From now on it will be known
as The Hilltopper.
This name was suggested by
someone that many of you already
know better than I. The winner,
Roger Wilkowski of 721 E. 14th
Ave.
Today I called Roger to tell him
the good news and talked to him
for the first time. I find that he
is a typical member of our neighborhood. Roger is a native of Denver and a junior at East High. He
lives at home with his parents and
a brother 11. His father is a radio
repairman who operates his own
business from a shop at the home
address. His mother is a clerk in
the state revenue department.
Roger is interested in sports favoring baseball and basket ball.
Last year he tried out for the East
High baseball team but didn't
quite make the first team.
He names music as his hobby,
and plays the trombone.
When asked about his future
plans he revealed that after high
school he plans to go to Colorado
University with the Episcopal
Ministry as his goal.
Well folks there is our winner
and I am very happy about the
whole thing. More power to you
Roger.
