CHUN Loard of Delegates Meeting St. Philomena's School January 1C, 1980 The meeting was called to order by President Dan Paulien at 7:40 p.m Board members present were Lynn Adams, Gordon Appell, Jo Campbell, U fcLlltS L i'JUtit-XVll JV1CLIJU, hXC/ V11C-6CWD1V1, X\ Ui UJCi KJA.KXliC3.Ul , WJ-'OIICO X A CX Sandy Weston. Others attending were Sally Barton, Dentil Inman, Kirsten Hartman, Nancy Rettig, Jock McNulty. The minutes of November 29, 1979 were approved as mailed. Board Vacancies. Dan announced the resignations of Kel Carter and Tom Potter from the Board. Norma Oldham, resigning as People's Pair Chairman, was nominated as Delegate-at-large. The nomination was seconded and passed. People's Pair. norma Oldham reported that tne Coordinator Selection Committee recommends Nancy Rettig be employed January 15-June 15 as People's Pair Coordinator at v!400 a month, for a total of $#NA7ooo, She moved that CHUN accept this action. The motion was seconded and passed. She also moved that D.J. Inman be the new People's Fair Chairman, which motion was seconded and passed. Norma was commended for excellent service to the People's Fair. The Fair will be held Kay 10 and 11. Nancy Rettig solicited volunteer workers and announced the first Fair Committee meeting Sunday, January 27 at 6:00 p.m. The Special Minipark Development Task Force met January 9 concerning the proposed site at 10th and Pennsylvania. Planners, neighborhood people and officials attended. Negotiations are still underway in acquiring the land. It is hoped that landscape architectural students will crystalize ideas and concepts as to the park's use. This committee plans to meet again at 8:00 p.m. February 6 at Patsy Frannea' home, 930 Pearl. The City Neighborhood Task Force, chaired by Councilman Cathy Reynolds, will meet January 21 at 5:00 to discuss the Citizens Parks Advisory Task Force. Linda Breed will represent CHUN. General Meetings. Sandy Weston is working with the mayor's office in planning a meeting in March. Communications. Alex Oliszewski announced that Life on Capitol Hill will go to a first and fifteenth schedule and has dropped attempts to deliver door-to-door. CHUN will provide the Community Calendar. Treasurer's Report. Dene Clark moved that CHUN accept the checking account transfer to United Bank of Denver for convenience and authorize the president and/or treasurer to sign for checks. The motion was seconded and passed. He will inquire about an interest bearing checking account. Nominating Committee. Dan Paulien suggested and Karcia Hughes moved that the Nominating Committee consist of Leslie France, Sarah Gilbert, Robert KctaSp, Tom Carter, Janet Moore-Kirkland, Jo Campbell.
